As a consultant you decide when you start and finish work each day and you can avoid unnecessary management meetings to maximise your billable hours. You can swing the financial pendulum in your favour, benefit financially from maximising the hours you work, or work fewer hours but take home a similar salary to the average employed solicitor.

Consultant relationships thrive at Johnsons Solicitors. By focusing your energy on servicing clients, you can maximise client care and billing, delivering a personal service as part of a professional and well positioned firm.
Our requirements for joining us on a consultant basis are that you are:-
- A qualified Solicitor, a fellow of CILEX or a Licensed Conveyancer
- Have a minimum of 4 years PQE
- Have a strong client following or good client contacts.
In the first instance we ask that you send us a copy of your CV to helen@johnsons-law.co.uk and details of any following you may have. We would then arrange to meet you either in person or online for an informal chat, where we explain our consultancy model and the support we can provide. You can tell us about your experience and career to date.
If we both want to take things forward, we ask that you sign our consultancy agreement and provide any further paperwork that is required. We then set you up on our IT systems and conduct full training of our policies and procedures.
From start to finish, the joining procedure can be as quick as three weeks or up to three months, depending how quickly you wish to go.
